Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant transformation in the world of Early Childhood Education (PAUD), creating a new paradigm known as digital PAUD. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital technology in PAUD learning with a focus on opportunities, challenges, and strategies for optimizing its use. The research method uses a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with PAUD teachers, parents, and education observers, as well as observations at PAUD institutions that have adopted digital technology. The results of the study indicate that digital PAUD offers various learning innovations through interactive applications and digital content, but faces challenges such as limited access, the risk of excessive screen time, and the gap in educators' digital competencies. Key research findings underline the importance of a complementary approach where technology functions as a supporting tool, not a substitute for direct interaction and concrete experiences. This study recommends an integrated implementation model that combines the principles of PAUD pedagogy with the wise use of technology, taking into account WHO recommendations on limiting screen time and the needs of children's holistic development. The implications of this study highlight the need for a clear policy framework, teacher training programs, and multi-party collaboration to create a digital PAUD ecosystem that is centered on the best interests of children.
