Abstract

This study explores the comparison between the methodologies of hadith classification employed by classical and contemporary scholars. The primary focus is on the traditional approaches utilized by scholars like Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim in determining the grades of hadith, compared to the methods adopted by contemporary scholars who leverage modern technology. The study also delves into the challenges that arise in the digital era, including issues of source authenticity and contextual interpretation. The findings indicate that while classical methods remain relevant, there is a pressing need for adaptation and integration with modern technology to maintain the accuracy and relevance of hadith sciences today. This research offers valuable insights into the evolution of methodologies in hadith studies and their implications for contemporary Islamic scholarship.
