Archive Policy

Preservation of Content

The journal has an archiving policy to ensure the long-term preservation of its scholarly content. All published articles are securely stored and archived in the following ways:

1. Digital Archives

  • The journal maintains a digital backup of all published content, stored on secure servers and accessible via the journal's official website.
  • Regular backup procedures are conducted to protect data from loss or corruption.

2. Institutional Repositories

  • Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in their institutional repositories to enhance access and preservation.

3. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

  • The journal participates in both LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) programs, ensuring the creation of permanent archives. These programs guarantee content preservation even if the journal ceases publication.

4. National Library Archives

  • The journal collaborates with national library archiving systems to store all issues in legally recognized repositories.

5. Portico

  • The journal utilizes Portico's digital preservation services to provide a permanent archive for its scholarly content.

Access to Archived Content

  • Archived content will remain accessible to all readers indefinitely.
  • In the event of the journal's discontinuation, access to archived content will be available through institutional repositories, digital archives, or dedicated archiving services.
