TRANSFORMASI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI ERA DIGITAL: TANTANGAN DAN PELUANG

The transformation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the digital era significantly impacts the way educational content is delivered and received. This study analyzes the challenges and opportunities arising from the implementation of digital technology in religious education, as well as how this transformation influences the quality of PAI learning. The results indicate that although digital technology expands access to educational resources and encourages innovation in teaching methods, obstacles such as inadequate infrastructure, low digital literacy, and resistance from certain groups remain major challenges. On the other hand, the opportunities offered by digitalization, such as using social media and online platforms for religious dissemination and interactive learning, present great potential to enrich the religious learning experience. Therefore, the active role of all stakeholders is required to maximize the benefits of technology in religious education while maintaining the spiritual essence that is central to PAI learning.
