Publication Process
This guide explains the review stages in OJS. In this tutorial it is assumed that you have submitted a paper to the system, marked with Awaiting Assignment in Status.
The status will change to In Review in some time when the review process begins.
When the review process is complete you will get an email notification. There are four decisions that will be obtained after the review process occurs: 1. Rejected 2. Accepted with revisions 3. Accepted without revisions
A) Review Results: Rejected 1. Rejection will be notified via email, along with the reasons for the rejection. Rejection usually occurs due to fatal errors, such as not having attached a Similarity Report, using the wrong language, or uploading the wrong file.
Rejection will cause the Submission to disappear from the Active Submission table and move to Archive.
If this happens, the Author is required to make corrections and repeat the submission
B) Review Results: Accepted with revisions 1. Notification received with revisions will be notified via email with a Revision Required statement. The email also includes the reviewer's assessment and comments.
To see details of the review process, on the main page, click the submission title, then click Review
At the bottom, click the comment icon to see the review results (same as in the email)
You are required to revise your submission before the submission deadline. Revisions consist of following suggestions from reviewers and correcting typos or formatting errors.
In the revision file, also include the name of the author.
After completing revisions, re-upload your paper in the Upload Author Version column at the bottom of Editor Decision. Click Upload to upload to the system.
The next revision check is only carried out by the editor, and after that the paper will be declared accepted as long as it has undergone revisions. You will get an email if the paper status is accepted. If it turns out that there is still something that needs to be revised in the paper, there will be an email notification and please re-upload it in the Upload Author Version column.
Acceptance of the paper will change the Active Submission status to In Editing.
After this stage, you as the Author just have to wait until your paper is published. When the paper has been published, your paper will appear in the Archive
C) Review Results: Accepted without revision 1. Notification of acceptance without revision will be notified via email with the statement Accept submission. The email also includes the reviewer's assessment and comments.
Add the Author's name then re-upload your paper in the column explained in point B.6 above. Acceptance of the paper will change the Active Submission status to In Editing.
After this stage, you as the Author just have to wait until your paper is published. When a paper has been published, your paper no longer appears in Active Submission, but in Archive.
