DESENTRALISASI DAN OTONOMI DAERAH: ANTARA IDEALITAS TEORI DAN REALITAS PRAKTIK DALAM PERSPEKTIF SOSIOLOGI POLITIK

This study examines the relationship between decentralization and regional autonomy from a political sociology perspective. Theoretically, decentralization is designed to improve public service delivery, enhance community participation, and strengthen local democracy. However, the implementation of decentralization in Indonesia reveals contradictions, such as weak administrative capacity, widespread corruption, and local governments’ dependence on the central government. This study uses a literature-based approach to explore the applicability of political sociology theories in understanding these issues. The findings emphasize the need for institutional theory adaptation to comprehend decentralization dynamics in developing countries like Indonesia.
