DAMPAK KEGIATAN MEWARNAI TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN EMOSIONAL ANAK PAUD KARYA BAKTI MEDAN

This study aims to analyze the impact of coloring activities on the emotional development of children at PAUD Karya Bakti Medan. Emotional development is an important aspect in early childhood education, which includes the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection process was carried out through three main techniques: observation, interviews, and literature study. Observations were conducted in PAUD classrooms to directly observe children’s behavior during and after coloring activities. Researchers noted how children interacted with coloring tools, color selection, as well as emotional responses that emerged during the process.Interviews were conducted involving PAUD teachers as the main informants. Teachers provided information about children’s behavior in the classroom, emotional changes that occur after participating in coloring activities, and the benefits that children feel from these activities. The results showed that coloring activities made a significant contribution in helping children recognize, understand, and manage emotions. This activity becomes a medium for non-verbal expression, trains patience, improves concentration, and helps reduce stress and increase children’s self-confidence. Thus, coloring can be used as a creative learning method to support children’s emotional development.
