This study discusses mutual funds as a flexible and easily accessible investment instrument to support future financial planning. Mutual funds are a vehicle for managing funds from various investors managed by professional investment managers into instruments such as stocks, bonds, and money markets. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with investors, financial planners, and investment managers to explore the understanding, motivations, and challenges in using mutual funds. The results show that mutual funds offer risk diversification, high flexibility, and opportunities to achieve short-term and long-term financial goals. In addition, this study highlights the importance of choosing the type of mutual fund and investment manager that suits the risk profile and financial goals. These findings provide new insights into the role of mutual funds in improving financial literacy and the economic welfare of society.
